Number Paths
Draw one continuous path through every playable square, visiting numbered checkpoints in order.
- Begin on checkpoint 1.
- Move up, down, left, or right into an adjacent playable square. Do not cross a wall.
- Visit every numbered checkpoint in ascending order.
- Use each playable square exactly once.
- Finish on the highest numbered checkpoint.
Draw and revise
Touch checkpoint 1, then drag through neighboring squares. You can lift your finger and continue from the open end, or select one neighboring square at a time. Diagonal moves, crossing walls, and entering the wrong checkpoint are prevented.
Move back to the previous square to remove one segment, or use Undo. Restart clears the current path and starts a fresh attempt on the same board. A legal move can still lead to a dead end later, so leave yourself room to rethink the route.

Color Paths
Give every matching pair its own continuous route. Each pair has a letter as well as a color, so A connects to A, B to B, and so on.
- Open Color Paths from Home or Your Puzzle Library. Choose Learn Color Paths for four free lessons.
- Start at either endpoint of a matching pair.
- Drag through neighboring squares, or tap them one at a time. Move only up, down, left, or right.
- Reach the matching letter without crossing another route or using another pair’s endpoint.
- Connect every pair and fill every square. Connecting the pairs while leaving an empty square is not a complete solution.
Edit a route
Select an existing route square to return to that point and revise the rest. Moving directly back to the preceding square removes one segment. Selecting the other endpoint of an unfinished pair starts that pair again from that end.
Undo reverses the latest edit during play. After reopening a saved puzzle, Undo removes a segment from the selected route, or from the highest-letter route that has a segment to remove. Confirming Restart clears all current routes for a fresh attempt while keeping your favorite and earlier completions.
Choose a board style
Use Board Style above the board to choose Calm or Neon. This changes the board’s appearance; matching letters remain visible in both styles. Your choice stays on this device.
Finish and keep going
The counters show connected pairs and filled squares. Once both are complete and your progress is saved, choose Next Puzzle, Replay Puzzle, or Back to Color Paths. A clean solve uses no hint during that attempt.
First Connections, Crossroads, and Long Connections each contain 20 puzzles on 5×5 or 6×6 boards. These packs use the existing lifetime unlock. Lessons stay free, and no Color Paths action uses a Fresh Play start.

Explore six Collections
Open Your Puzzle Library on Home, then choose a collection. Each has 30 Number Paths puzzles, for 180 in total. Browse without purchasing; play is included with the existing lifetime unlock.
- Miniatures
- Compact 4×4 and 4×5 boards.
- Cutouts
- Connected irregular shapes with missing squares.
- Chambers
- Two rooms joined by a narrow passage.
- Open Paths
- More connections to consider, with fewer checkpoint clues.
- Long Routes
- Taller 9×6 and 10×7 boards.
- Master Studies
- Larger boards in the Master difficulty tier.
The rules stay the same: fill every playable square in checkpoint order. Gaps are not squares you can enter, and walls still block movement. The new shapes belong to Collections; generated-play size controls do not generate Cutouts or Chambers.
Your next unsolved board is highlighted, but you can play any board your unlock includes. Progress and clean-completion indicators help you see what you have finished. Difficulty describes the puzzle’s tier, not a promised solve time.

Save a path for later
Number Paths
Use the favorite action during play or after completion. Number Paths tutorials and Rush puzzles are not added to Saved Puzzles. Open Your Puzzle Library, then Saved Puzzles, to filter by Favorites, Unfinished, or Completed. Choose Resume for an unfinished route or Replay to start that board again.
A saved Fresh Play board stays replayable without another hourly start. Saved premium boards still need the lifetime unlock. Removing a Number Paths Library entry removes that saved board and its favorite; it does not erase earlier attempt history or Collection completion.
Color Paths
Use Favorite above the board, then open Saved Color Paths from the Color Paths screen. The same three filters help you find a route. Resume continues your saved paths, and Replay starts a fresh attempt.
Removing a saved Color Paths puzzle also removes that board’s favorite and completion history. Read the confirmation before removing it. Free lessons remain available from Learn Color Paths; saved pack puzzles require the lifetime unlock.

Keep your favorite play options
Open Unlimited Play or Zen on Home. Suggested options fill in a play style, difficulty, and board size:
- Quick break: Quick Play, Easy, 4×4.
- Small but tricky: Quick Play, Medium, 5×5.
- Long and calm: Zen, Hard, 7×7.
Adjust the mode, difficulty, and size, then choose Save These Play Options. Enter a name of up to 32 characters, then choose Save Preset. You can keep eight presets. Select one to restore those settings, check the selection, then start a newly generated puzzle.
A preset saves options, not a particular board. Use Saved Puzzles to replay an exact board. Removing a preset leaves your puzzles and progress intact. Presets do not unlock paid modes or change the free-start allowance.
A nudge when you need it
Hints work on your device. A safe target is marked on the board and described in text. If the solver cannot prove a safe hint within its limits, the app says so.
In Number Paths, a hint may identify a safe next square, a short segment, or an earlier point where you can revise the route. A rewind requires your confirmation before changing the path.
In Color Paths, a hint names a matching letter and highlights a starting endpoint or a safe next square. It does not draw or erase a route. If your current routes cannot finish, the message may suggest undoing or restarting a pair.
An accepted hint request makes the current attempt assisted, even if no safe hint is found. Restart begins a fresh attempt. Rush does not offer hints.
Choose how you play
- Fresh Play
- Ten freshly generated Number Paths starts in a rolling hour. Choose a difficulty or Automatic. The board stays the same while you solve it.
- Unlimited Play
- Use Quick Play to choose a difficulty and size for a newly generated Number Paths puzzle.
- Zen
- Generated Number Paths without a visible timer or score pressure.
- Rush
- A timed sequence of Number Paths puzzles. Read the run’s timer and scoring explanation before starting.
- Challenge Codes
- Share or enter a code that reconstructs the same Number Paths board locally. Collection codes require a compatible app version. Color Paths does not use Challenge Codes.
Tutorials and the four Color Paths lessons are free. Unlimited Play, Zen, Rush, Challenge Codes, Collections, and the three Color Paths packs use one optional lifetime unlock. Existing lifetime owners receive the new premium content without another purchase.
Restore Purchases in Settings using the Apple Account that bought the unlock. Core gameplay works offline; Apple purchase and restoration services can require a connection.
Readable in more than one way
Number Paths checkpoints include numbers. Color Paths endpoints and occupied route squares include matching letters. Color is never the only way to identify a pair, checkpoint, or route.
With VoiceOver, select a square to hear its row, column, and current state. Number Paths describes checkpoints, nearby walls, and interior gaps. Color Paths describes the pair letter, connection state, selected path, and hint target. Activate neighboring squares to solve without dragging.
Text follows Dynamic Type, controls reflow for larger text, and motion follows Reduce Motion. Settings include High-Contrast Board, sound, and haptic preferences. Boards remain square-grid layouts; surrounding content scrolls when it needs more room.
If something is hard to perceive or operate, please send the screen and settings through Support.
Your progress stays here
Saved puzzles, favorites, presets, and progress stay on this device. There is no gameplay account or cross-device progress sync. Restoring the lifetime purchase does not restore deleted puzzle history.
If saving fails, keep the app open and use the displayed retry action. A Color Paths completion is shown only after its save succeeds; unsaved edits are not guaranteed to survive closing the app. If an unreadable saved entry appears, healthy entries remain usable and you can remove the unavailable entry explicitly.
The Number Paths Library holds up to 200 boards. At capacity, the oldest completed, unfavorited board may make room for another; unfinished, favorited, and unreadable entries are protected. Saved Color Paths holds up to 100 records and does not remove them automatically. Follow an in-app capacity notice before trying to save more.
Reset Statistics clears completion counters, including the completion and clean-completion indicators for Collections, while keeping saved boards, routes, favorites, and presets. Delete All Gameplay Progress clears both puzzle families’ saved gameplay data and named presets. The verified lifetime purchase remains tied to your Apple Account. See Support and the privacy policy for more details.
